The id net_mqtt_publish()/net_mqtt_subscribe()/ net_mqtt_unsubscribe() returned for the call this error belongs to, if any - 0 if this error isn't tied to a specific one of those calls (a connection-level failure, say).
All three draw from the same id space (see net_mqtt_publish()'s own doc on next_message_id), so a nonzero value here is unambiguous regardless of which kind of call it came from - 0 is never a real id from any of them.
